TITLE: Pharmacist in Charge / **Multiple State Licensures required*

Looking for an experienced Pharmacy Manager for an independent compounding pharmacy. Must have experience with BHRT and Functional Medicine practices and experience with high-risk sterile compounding. Expert in USP chapters < 795> < 797> < 800>. Strong management and leadership experience. Extensive experience with regulatory inspections. MUST HAVE MULTIPLE STATE LICENSURES.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Develop policies and procedures as necessary to accommodate regulatory changes and compliance opportunities including but not limited to relating to the safe and effective use of medications, performing high-risk sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling.
  • Ensures pharmacy operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and other regulatory bodies (State Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA).
  • Have a strong understanding of boards of pharmacy and other regulatory agencies.
  • Respond to regulatory agencies as necessary and interface with external regulatory agencies regarding rules and regulations.
  • Participates in recruitment and hiring of potential new pharmacy personnel.
  • Performs performance reviews, at least annually, on pharmacy staff.
  • Participates/coordinates orientation and training of pharmacy employees.
  • Participates in inter-departmental meetings as required.
  • Prepares and submits management reports as required.
  • Remain knowledgeable of the latest research developments concerning new drugs and drug usage.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in discipline required.
  • Ten years of experience in discipline preferred.
  • Knowledge of principals related to pharmaceutical preparation and practices.
  • Licensed Pharmacist listed by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 3-year management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work over eight hours per day and/or on weekends if needed.

TITLE: Certified Pharmacy Technician

POSITION:  Full-time

The pharmacy technician supports the pharmacist in providing pharmacy services.  The technician is responsible for packaging, preparation, and distribution of medications, inventory control, customer service and maintaining pharmacy records. 

The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and the Compounding Director.


Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely preparation of medications which may include selection, labeling and non-sterile compounding.
  • Ensure compounds are prepared in accordance to formulation and that all relevant compounding guidelines and quality standards are maintained.
  • Weigh and measure suitable chemicals to prepare various types of compounds including suspensions, creams, solutions, ointments, capsules, and suppositories. Process them following a provided formula worksheet specification.Package and label prepared compounds in suitable dispensing tool.
  • Send prepared compound and documentation to pharmacist for verification and sign off.
  • Responsible for daily cleaning and logs in accordance to established policy. Documents regulatory requirements such as temperature logs and scheduled activities.
    Maintains a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    Ensure all equipment, including freezer/fridge temperatures and weights on scales at work station are verified and maintained every morning.
  • Ensure that all relevant steps in each compound are verified with the supervising pharmacist.
  • Perform daily inventory counts, file paperwork, and stock inventory.
  • Calibration and proper documentation of lab instruments.
  • Other duties as assigned.


General

Performs any additional duties assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge/Compounding Director


Qualifications

  • Position requires effective verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs, outstanding multi-tasking, and a team player.
  • Organization – proactively prioritizes needs and effectively manages resources and time.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Compounding Course/Training
  • Registered and Certified Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT)


Computer Skills

Proficiency in computerized pharmacy systems and software applications required. Must be proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office programs. Must possess strong prioritizing abilities, and organizational/communication skills with a minimum one (1) year pharmacy technician experience.

POSITION: Full-time

Summary of Responsibilities

TITLE:      Shipping Associate

POSITION:       Full-time

Perform the day to day duties and responsibilities listed below:

  • Processing, packaging and shipping orders accurately
  • Maintain daily Excel Spreadsheet of tracking information to be emailed internally
  • Ensure customer order and product verify before packaging
  • Contact carriers and schedule pick-ups
  • Assist in receiving and material handling as needed
  • Organize stock and maintain inventory of shipping supplies
  • Examine incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Organize shipping space efficiently;  Keep shipping area clean and organized daily
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately

General

Must be able to handle high volumes of outbound daily shipments within a set deadline.   Performs any additional duties assigned by the CEO/Administrative Director

Qualifications

High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Computer Skills

Ability to demonstrate literacy in using computerized information systems.  Must possess strong prioritizing abilities, and organizational/communication skills with a minimum one (1) year shipping associate experience.  Experience with Federal Express and UPS Software.

Work Hours

Hours will be mainly between 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or at other times on an as needed basis.  Non-warehouse setting, no nights or weekends at this time.
